A bath is like the holy grail of bathing; I forgot that you can actually clean yourself this way. Probably because a sit down bath is seen mainly as a relaxation thing as opposed to an everyday, get up a little early, wash yourself sitting down type of thing. This is my second bath this week, and I'm seriously thinking about bathing sitting down everyday. Get some natural bath salts, maybe even put some baking soda, honey, or oatmeal in for a skin-benefiting therapeutic affect. Get up in the morning, maybe exercise, take a bath, get some grub in you, and be about your way. If more people soaked before going out into the world, they'd probably be happier; it's a spa that you don't have to pay for. If you don't have a tub, get a large bowl, fill it with nice hot water, put some bath salts or baking soda and honey in it, and soak your feet. It's not as luxurious as soaking your whole body, but it definitely is therapeutic and has similar effects of a bath.
I keep mentioning baking soda and honey because both are natural products that help with dry, dead skin. Honey is going to leave your skin soft, and glowing. Baking soda aides in detoxification. Natural bath salts are also a wonderful addition to a bath, or foot soak. SheaMoisture's bath salts for eczema and psoriasis are my favorite; they're paraben and sulfate free, they leave your skin soft, and with the added frankincense, smell amazing. Don't use in a glass bowl, or tub; the salts just stick to the glass.
